Discover Akademia

Theological education built for the local church.

In partnership with Grace Seminary and the Deploy Program, Akademia offers an accredited Master of Arts in Local Church Ministry for qualified students serving churches across Europe and in other contexts outside the United States.

Biblically centered, discerning education that glorifies God and exalts Jesus Christ.

Our purpose

Theological education focused on context, character, and competency.

There are many online degree programs that teach knowledge. Akademia goes further by meeting students where they live—in their context—and addressing local needs. Our primary goal is not knowledge alone, but the godly character of each student. Akademia and the Deploy Program evaluate demonstrated competency rather than relying on tests or memorized facts.

Mastery, formation, and guided study.

Students complete most work independently, while three proctors oversee and assess academic, spiritual, and ministry growth.

01

Competency-based

Completion depends on demonstrated mastery, not classroom hours.

02

Independent study

Online instruction, reading, discussion, and projects are guided by an academic proctor. There are no tests at Akademia. Students instead focus on writing to demonstrate their understanding more effectively.

03

Learning in community

Students meet regularly to apply, discuss, and clarify their work.
